weSPARK is an amazing place dedicated to helping, encouraging and teaching. This place has become a home where people can share stories, tears and courage and learn to live with and overcome the fears that accompany this ugly disease called Cancer.”

My husband was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2003, leaving me to raise 3 small children. This organization has been a god send. They love my children dearly while looking out for me and my well-being.”

–Carlen Johnson (Teen Volunteer at Children’s Group)

In 1999, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. After surgery and 6 months of chemo, I was cancer free. My friend, Wendie Jo Sperber, talked about starting a group where cancer warriors, their families and friends could go for FREE support. That was over 10 years ago. I am now on the Board of Directors and have made weSPARK my passion project.”
–Arthur Toretzky (Board Member & Cancer Survivor)

I am a two time breast cancer fighter. Recently, I joined weSPARK after a friend recommended a tai-chi class she was taking. I was in serious need for help in focusing, fighting depression, regaining energy and hope. Although it’s been only a month, I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful experience it’s been so far. The facility is comfortable, inviting and homey. Staff and members are welcoming with open arms (for hugs) and warmth. During my treatment journey, I resisted organized support, thinking I can do it alone, but I feel differently now. The class is changing my attitude. I look forward to our meetings twice a week and I hope to never stop. It is the best thing that happened to me in a very long time. “

Over the past 4 years I’ve been fortunate to witness the wonderful work weSPARK is doing first hand. Their support of families dealing with cancer is something to behold. From their hands-on approach in support of families dealing with this dreaded disease to their fund raising activities that make all this work possible, weSPARK is a tremendous organization.”
–Michael Pole (weSPARK Guest)

weSPARK is absolutely the best. The atmosphere is filled with loving kindness. The staff is made up of caring individuals who really go above and beyond what they are paid to do. The workshops, classes and support groups provide so much in terms of camaraderie, networking and information exchange that one always comes out of each and every weSPARK experience feeling positive, hopeful and cared about. It’s all about providing needs, while also providing a chance to give help and support to other cancer warriors”
