Doria Gold Pomrenke joined the weSPARK family in June of 2017. Doria is a native valley girl who was raised by Minnesotan parents. She has four sisters and two adorable nephews. Her first passion was acting but she stumbled into the culinary arts in high school and won a $40,000 scholarship to attend Johnson & Wales University. At the Providence, RI campus, Doria earned her A.S. in Culinary Arts, Cum Laude, and her B.S. in Food Service Management. In 2010, she was the recipient of the prestigious Les Dames d’ Escoffier International’s Hospitality Legacy Award.

Doria has worked in restaurants and hotels, front and back of the house; as a nanny; a personal assistant; a catering sous chef; a personal chef; as the Competition & College Advisor for C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts) LA; as the Food Services & Hospitality Instructor at John A. Rowland High School; as the Culinary Teacher at Rowland Unified School District’s Summer Arts Camp (K-8th grade); and most recently as the Event Coordinator for the ‘2016 Brand Blvd. Block Party’ & the ‘2017 All-Star Chef Classic’ for Event Producer Caryl Chinn.  She also volunteers her time as often as she can and has assisted at events for WCR (Women Chefs and Restaurateurs), Autism Speaks, C-CAP and The Circle of Care Burn Foundation, to name just a few.
