A night where LAUGHTER met PURPOSE. May Contain Nuts! brought the house down at the Skirball Cultural Center – raising over $230,000 to support WeSPARK Cancer Support Center. Kathy Griffin, accepted the HEART of WeSPARK Award with humor, heart, and brilliance—beautifully introduced by past honorees, Ed Begley Jr. and Rachelle Carson Begley.
From Alonzo Bodden setting the tone as Master of Ceremonies, to non-stop stand-up from John Henson, Laurie Kilmartin, Billy Gardell, and a show-stopping finale by Jay Leno, the laughter never let up. Between the punchlines, Nancy Allen, Executive Director, reminded us why we were truly there—because no one should go through cancer alone. The event would not have been a success without the generous support of our Event Sponsors, Board of Directors and Donors. A special thank you to Jesse Shapiro for leading the Special Fund-A-Need portion of the event, along with our Event Committee, all the Silent Auction Donors, the talented Photographers and our supportive Volunteers. It was more than an evening of comedy—it was community, compassion, and a whole lot of laughter.
