Our genetic make-up, or DNA, is incredibly important when it comes to things like understanding risk of cancer diagnosis. But there’s another type of DNA unique to the individual cancer itself. DNA mutations driving the growth of cancer are referred to as its genomics. Genomic tumor assessment examines changes occurring within an individual patient’s tumor to identify treatment options not previously considered.
