About Sara Schumacher
Sara Schumacher, a Clinical Oncology Dietitian with Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska. She then completed her Master of Science in Nutrition from Arizona State University in Phoenix. At CTCA, Schumacher assesses and monitors the nutrition needs of both inpatients and outpatients. She works closely with patients to ensure they are nourished while undergoing treatment. Schumacher also provides nutrition-focused education and counseling to patients, and she helps coordinate intravenous and feeding tube support, when necessary. Schumacher is board certified in oncology nutrition. She also has a certificate of training in adult malnutrition.
